Privacy Policy

To conform to the recent General Data Protection Regulation (May 2018), Slow club wishes to be transparent about the way we process the data we hold on you.

The following is a broad description of the way that Slow Club processes personal information. To understand how your own personal information is processed you may need to refer to any personal communications you have received, check our privacy notices or contact hello@slowclub.co.uk to ask about your personal circumstances.

Reasons/purposes for processing information:
We process personal information to enable us to provide health services to our patients, to maintain our accounts and records, promote our services and to support and manage our employees.

Type/classes of information processed:
We process information relevant to the above reasons/purposes. This information may include:
• personal details
• family details
• lifestyle and social circumstances
• goods and services
• financial details
• employment and education details

We also process sensitive classes of information that may include:
• physical or mental health details
• sexual life
• racial or ethnic origin
• trade union membership
• religious or other beliefs of a similar nature
• offences and alleged offences

Who the information is processed about:
We process personal information about our:
• patients
• customers and clients
• suppliers
• business contacts
• professional advisers

Who the information may be shared with:
We sometimes need to share the personal information we process with the individual themself and also with other organisations. Where this is necessary we are required to comply with all aspects of the Data Protection Act (DPA). What follows is a description of the types of organisations we may need to share some of the personal information we process with for one or more reasons.

How do we collect information from you?
We obtain information about you when you use our website, for example, when you contact us about our services and when you register as a client at Slow Club.
What type of information is collected from you?
The personal information we collect includes your name, address, email address, IP address, and information regarding what pages are accessed and when. If you make a payment online your card information is not held by us, it is collected by our third party payment processors, who specialise in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions.
How is your information used?
• To provide and fulfill Services between yourself and Slow Club
• To contact your GP, where you have given your consent
• To notify you about changes to our Service and provide customer support
• To gather analysis or valuable information so that we can improve our Service
• To monitor the usage of our Service
• To detect, prevent and address technical issues
• To provide you with news, special offers and general information about other services if you have consented to this.
We will hold your personal information for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary in accordance with your insurance policy and also Medical Data protection regulations.
Who has access to your information?
We will not sell or rent your information to third parties.
We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
How can you access and update your information?

If you have opted-in to marketing emails then you will continue to receive these, until any such time you wish to unsubscribe.
Use of ‘cookies’
Like many other websites, the Slow Club website uses cookies. ‘Cookies’ are small pieces of information sent by an organisation to your computer and stored on your hard drive to allow that website to recognise you when you visit. They collect statistical data about your browsing actions and patterns and do not identify you as an individual. This helps us to improve our website and deliver a better more personalised service.

Security Of Data
The security of your data is important to us: your personally identifiable information is kept secure. Only authorised employees, agents and contractors (who have agreed to keep information secure and confidential) have access to this information.
All marketing emails from Slow Club will allow you to opt out of further mailings.
We store personal information on secure servers that are managed by us and our service providers, and occasionally hard copy files that are kept in a secure location in the EU.
Personal information that we store or transmit is protected by security and access controls, including username and password authentication, two-factor authentication, and data encryption where appropriate.

Data storage:

Personally identifiable information is kept secure via a safe data management software called Cliniko, that specialises in healthcare. Only the clinician/instructor treating the client has access to this information at present, and if Slow Club were ever expand it will be accessible to authorised staff involved in the client’s care.
Personal information is stored on secure servers that are managed by Slow Club’s service provider (Cliniko).
The occasional hard copy files (for example consent forms) are kept in a secure location in the EU. The client’s data is stored for the purpose of providing medical care, and will never be shared with third parties without your consent.

Emails:
We will only send you promotional material if you have subscribed to the Slow Club mailing list and have explicitly consented to this. you can unsubscribe from the mailing list at any point, using the ‘Unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of the email.
If you are using any of the Slow Club services at present, then your email may be used for communication purposes in regards to your current and future services. Please contact hello@slowclub.co.uk should you wish to be contacted in a different way.
If you are currently attending a class or individual sessions, I will be contacting you as needed about the scheduling and your payments. This is a condition for you attending our services.

Website:
We use Google Analytics to capture information about the visitors to the Slow Club website. We also use Stripe as a payment platform, which is a safe and broadly used service; and Cliniko for your bookings and information storage, who will also hold information about you when you are using their webpages.
